Judge a Book By Its Cover!

This week it's all about judging books by their covers! Pick a book--any book, really--and search out multiple book cover images for that book. They could span a decade or two (or more)...Or they could span several countries. Which cover is your favorite? Which one is your least favorite? Which one best 'captures' what the book is about?

Create your blog post, come back here and sign Mr. Linky with the url to the actual post, and feel free to leave a comment below. And don't forget that visiting other Geeksters and saying hello is part of the magic of Weekly Geeks!

An easy way to find covers is to search for the book on LibraryThing, as in this page:

Wow....I don't think I've ever felt left out of a topic before. I have a lot of favorite authors, but their novels have maybe one cover variation and that's because it's sold in another country. This is going to take me awhile.

Thanks Abbot of Unreason. LibraryThing is definitely helping me with some of my older authors.

This is my first visit to Weekly Geeks. As an author/reader I love this topic. I posted a blog a couple months ago where I tracked down many covers and compared their various images from hardbac, paperback and also the differences between US and UK covers. The differences are amazing!

This was a fantastic idea!! But what I think is even better is that there are 55 posts up already and only 1 repeat book!! That's amazing!

Fun topic! Finally getting a chance to join in, it's been ages since I participated in Weekly Geeks and not since it moved over here.

Somewhat related: My favourite part of Quill and Quire magazine is the section where they trace the development of a book cover for a recent title, revealing the various cover design ideas considered by the publisher and author.
